47–49 Shotover is a four-storey existing commercial building in central Queenstown that has undergone a structural seismic retrofit and refurbishment.
The project included targeted structural strengthening using Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composites and reinforced concrete elements to enhance overall earthquake performance and resilience.
The engineering works were seamlessly integrated within the existing structure to improve structural capacity and seismic behaviour while maintaining the building’s operational functionality and structural integrity.
